27.+28. September 2018

Digital Development Debates 2018: Germany

German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke in 2013 of the Internet as being »Neuland«, an unexplored territory. While this may be the case for many politicians, citizens are getting impatient with the snail's pace of development in all things digital. Germany still has the feeling of being a developing country in this respect.

In connection with the INFORMATIK 2018 conference in Berlin you are invited to attend a two-day conference about the current state of digitalization in Germany.

On Thursday, September 27, 2018 will will begin in the afternoon learning from international speakers about how their countries have implemented their digital visions. The afternoon will close with a panel discussion with the keynote speakers and German representatives.

The next morning, September 28, 2018, will consist of a workshop that will map out some action items for German politicians to get the country on the road out of »Neuland« .

The conference language will be in English, entrance is free.
